How electrospray ionization works? Check out our video

What is electrospray ionization? How does ESI work? How to stabilize an electrospray? ESI stands for Electro-Spray Ionization.

Ionization efficiency and ionization stability are important in mass spectrometry because the quality of the data depends ion the quality of the spray. Electrospray and nano-electrospray are used for proteomics and metabolomics. Scientists and analytical chemists invest a lot of their time to get stable sprays.

In this video, Guillermo Vidal, our CEO, made and filmed an electrospray to show what it does when it is stable, and what happens when it is unstable. This video is a hands-on introduction to electrospray ionization.
